Office Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT)
Sunrise Treatment Center offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) which is clinically proven to reduce or eliminate the abuse of narcotic pain medications, heroin, fentanyl and carfentanil. In conjunction with clinical services, the primary medication utilized is buprenorphine. Treatment with intramuscular naltrexone is also available, as is treatment without medication-assistance. Strong clinical counseling is a core component of long-term, sustained recovery.
Our highly trained counselors work closely with our medical and administrative staff to provide the best possible care. A more intensive group counseling experience is available for those patients needing more structure and support.
Outside of the treatment center, we encourage individuals to engage in support groups (e.g. AA / NA, S.M.A.R.T., Rational Recovery, etc.) to establish a connection with support systems in the community when services are no longer needed. Basic physical and mental health needs can be addressed onsite for those without access to care, or referrals can be made to various other agencies.
For patients being treated with buprenorphine products who taper off medication, they have the option to start Vivitrol to prevent relapse by further controlling the cravings. This is administered monthly as the counseling is continued.
Patients receive counseling services and a prescription for a buprenorphine product.
Patients meet primarily with a counselor and have an individualized treatment plan.
Frequency of clinic attendance is determined by clinical need and patient preference.
Prescription patients self-pay for services.
