Sunrise was proud to host the Exchange Project Needle Exchange Harm Reduction van at our new OTR location at 1718 Central Parkway in Over-the-Rhine. Harm reduction activities in our region are essential to stopping the spread of blood-borne diseases caused by intravenous (IV) drug use. The Exchange Project also provides advice on how to avoid an overdose, recommendations for safer injecting practices, information on the safe handling and disposal of injecting equipment, and referrals for treatment upon request. These activities are an integral part of moving those affected by substance use disorders through the stages of change towards pursuing treatment.
